System Engineer (Infrastructure/Systems)

We're currently hiring system engineers to join our teams:

System Engineer, Infrastructure/System

Responsibilities

Design, implement and evolve critical high performance, scalable distributed software systems and libraries
Improve the reliability and efficiency of core systems
Provide detailed and constructive design and reviews
Participate in the design and implementation of next generation systems
Seek opportunities to develop horizontal technologies that benefit multiple teams
Work cross-functionally with various engineering teams
Build developer tools to increase efficiency of all teams
Ensure the security of our systems

Minimum Qualifications

B.S. or M.S. Computer Science, Engineering, IT or equivalent
At least 2 years of relevant development experience
Excellent in Linux/UNIX, Windows operating system and network security
Strong problem solving skill
Strong experience in significant cross-functional engineering efforts
Strong experience with large-scale distributed systems
Strong experience with Nginx, Apache, Tomcat
Strong experience with MySQL and in-memory caching systems such as Memcached and/or Redis or Vanish
Experience with Linux operating system internals, filesystems, disk/storage technologies and storage protocols
Experience in monitoring, tracing, profiling, system monitoring and log management
Experience with scripting languages
Experience with performance tuning and implementation using relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL) and document-oriented databases (MongoDB) or other NoSQL databases a plus
Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure or other public cloud technologies a plus
Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON/XML and/or Git skill a plus
Experience with enterprise application technologies (e.g. Redis, RPC, microservices,etc.) a plus
Knowledge in Node.JS or real-time streaming infrastructure a plus
Knowledge in Git, public github or bitbucket projects/repos a plus
Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous delivery and build tools such as Jenkins and Maven a plus
